FRESNO, CA – April 1, 2026 — From its humble beginnings in a Fresno garage to a nationwide healthcare services provider, MultiMedical Systems (MMS) marks its 30th anniversary this month.

Founded in 1996, MMS started with limited resources but a clear objective: to deliver a more responsive and reliable approach to supporting healthcare technology. Three decades later, the company employs more than 100 people, operates from a 30,000-square-foot campus, and serves healthcare facilities across the United States—from the West Coast to New York.

Over the years, MMS has expanded its capabilities well beyond its early roots in biomedical equipment service. Today, the company offers a broad portfolio that includes surgical support services, infusion programs, medical equipment sales, and nationwide on-demand technical support. Its growth reflects a broader shift within the healthcare industry, where hospitals and health systems increasingly rely on specialized partners to maintain complex medical equipment and ensure operational continuity.

That role became especially visible during the COVID-19 pandemic, when MMS teams worked on the front lines to support critical equipment and infrastructure. Company leaders say that period reinforced their core mission: to ensure healthcare providers have the tools and support they need to deliver patient care without interruption.

While the company’s footprint has expanded, long-tenured employees point to a consistent internal culture as a key factor behind its longevity.

Israel Garcia, now Senior Director of Field Operations, joined the company in 2002 as one of its earliest employees. At the time, MMS—then operating under a different name—served a limited geographic area and a small client base. Today, its field teams operate across 11 states, with on-demand service capabilities reaching nationwide.

Similarly, Tina Clark, Director of Contracts, began her career with MMS as a part-time temporary employee. She played a role in developing one of the company’s earliest strategic partnerships, helping to build systems and processes that supported long-term growth.

Chris Mendoza, Director of Quality and Systems Administration, joined the organization as a teenager for what was intended to be a short-term project. He later helped lead efforts to modernize internal systems and contributed to the company achieving ISO certification—an important milestone that strengthened MMS’s quality and compliance infrastructure.

Company leaders say these stories reflect a broader theme: MMS has grown not only through strategic expansion, but through long-term employee development and institutional knowledge.

As MMS has expanded, it has stayed grounded. From food drives and Toys for Tots to blood donations, supporting Valley Children’s and giving back to communities across the country – for MMS it has always been about more than just business.

In 2017, the City of Fresno formally recognized MMS for its contributions to the local economy and community, expressing hopes that the company would remain a long-term presence in the region, saying “We hope you are here for life”.

Thirty years in and MMS is still holding up its end of the deal.

As healthcare systems continue to face increasing operational complexity, MMS positions itself as a partner focused on reliability, responsiveness, and scalability.

“Thirty years demonstrates that we’re not just a company that started,” said Nicole Palmer, Vice President of Operations, in a statement. “We’re a company that lasts.”

With a national footprint and expanded capabilities, MMS now looks toward its next phase—building on its history while adapting to the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.
